Who we are

Thanet Community Networks (TCN) are part of EKVAS (East Kent Voluntary Action and Support), a new charity supporting voluntary and community sector organisations in East Kent. EKVAS is dedicated to local service provision, with the efficiency of a centralised support team by the Social Enterprise Kent group (SEK). The two founder members of EKVAS are the Whitstable Volunteer Centre and CaDVAS.


TCN strive to provide an excellent quality of positive communication networks between the voluntary, public and private sector, to benefit the community in Thanet and surrounding areas.


TCN have a team of dedicated staff who would be only too happy to assist you with your networking and capacity building requirements for your organisation. We are also here to offer information, advice and guidance.

TCN values the importance of networking and the necessity to keep our contacts regularly updated with relevant information. We currently hold a contact list of over 600 groups and organisations and charities in and around Thanet and circulate mailings and consultations on behalf of VSOs, TDC and KCC. We are dedicated to adhering to the policy of good practice to avoid duplication. If you would like to be included on our contact list for mailings and invites to events etc contact us.

Networking & Training Events

TCN organise and facilitate networking and specialist hub events which provide delegates with the opportunity to meet with other voluntary sector organisations and learn up to date information relevant to their work. The events focus on particular topics of interest and include presentations from key note speakers, interactive workshops and update sessions. We also provide and facilitate training and information sessions, workshops and courses in partnership and on behalf of other organisations.
